About Strings View

Quality/Type of wood; Bow weight distribution, synthetic/genuine horse hair quality; Rosin quality; String material and Quality; Bridge Height; and many more elements are part of what makes the selection of a perfect Violin for the Soloist a journey on it’s own. The mastering of the instrument takes a multitude of practices, mastering hundreds of various techniques and an endless learning.

My Journey started from the moment I enrolled into a Music School and began my practice to attain the ABRSM Grade 2 Certification, marking the start of the strenuous voyage into the world of Classical Violin. Each grade proves to be harder than the previous with new techniques to be learnt and skills to be brushed up on. Side dishes of Scales, Sight Reading and Aural Tests adds on to the difficulty of scoring in the subject. Perseverance, passion and determination drives the motivation to conquer the various challenges set alongside the road to learning the instrument.

A Grade 8 Certification may be an open window to the basic qualification needed to be a mentor/educator in this field, it is also the accreditation, a justification of having learnt all basic techniques and skills of the instrument. Having left the nest, my music school, the future of my acoustics will have await new history to be made. No one knows what the future holds.
