About Internship View
September of 2019 marks the beginning of a 6 month journey into the world of Internship and experience work-life.
Internship started out as a mandatory module to accomplish in order to graduate from Polytechnic. However, for me, this marks the virgin step into the work life. Adorned with an about to be attained Diploma in Integrated Events Management, my mentor recommended me to apply for a position in People’s Association, SCENE Division for a Marketing, Content Creator, Multimedia kind of job. This division specializes in the running of yearly Chingay Parade that occurs every Chinese New Year.
Job Scope:
1) Design And Arrangement of Marketing Collaterals
2) Co-Management of Hired Event Photographers
3) Co-Management of Chingay Tee-Shirts
4) President and Prime Minister Speech Transcription
Being an annual large scale event, and celebrated nationwide, it is an internship that holds great achievement value. Transcription of the President and Prime Minister speeches were nerve-wrecking and honorable moments, the fear of missing the speech generated adrenaline to be meticulous in the process. Seeing the collaterals I made/arranged appearing as banners, props, Websites and social media makes for some proud moments through this experience.
However so, the collaterals belongs to the organization, hence, its absence in this portfolio. They can still be view upon searches of Chingay 2020 on Google.
